Baker
Baker Furniture speaks the language of style. Not satisfied to be of the moment, the company works to be of the movement, in the role of a tastemaker and innovator rather than a follower at the whim of fashion. The accent is on product - through Design, Materials, Craftsmanship, and Finish. At the beginning, a craftsman named Siebe Baker worked with his hands. Later, the success of his sturdy furniture allowed his son, Hollis Baker, to study at university, travel the Old World, and hone the eye of a collector. Today these two thoughts, the eye and the hand, remain the cornerstone of Baker Furniture. For our customers, they mean a sense of integrity and the promise of things chosen well rather than often.

Bernhardt Furniture

Founded in 1889, Bernhardt Furniture Company is one of the largest family-owned and operated manufacturers of fine case goods and upholstered furniture in the United States. Located in the foothills of western North Carolina, Bernhardt employs over 2,000 people and operates nine plants. Hand-applied, multi-step finishes of the highest quality protect and enhance the beauty of wood furniture. Hand and machine polishing give smooth, clean finishes to highlight the beauty and character of the wood. Careful hand sanding is crucial to a fine finish. Hancock & Moore Furniture
In the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, furniture making is an enduring tradition has been passed down through generations. A vision to manufacture the finest quality furnishings that would sustain years of use, as well as compliment individual lifestyles, became reality in 1981 when Hancock & Moore was founded. That vision is displayed in each piece of Hancock & Moore furniture through the skillful touch of master craftsmen like Jimmy Moore. At the beginning of each production day, you will find Jimmy Moore there to ensure that his high expectations of quality and sheer attention to detail are carried out. With the help of his fellow craftsmen, Jimmy Moore transforms solid woods, soft leathers and fine fabrics into hand crafted furnishings no machine could ever match. Henredon Furniture
Henredon was founded in 1945 by four men determined to build furniture of custom quality. The initial product line consisted of just three chests. It has since mushroomed into hundreds of beautiful wood and upholstery designs for every room. Today, among people of discriminating taste, the name Henredon represents the best America has to offer.

The original manufacturing site and corporate headquarters are still active today. Located in Morganton, North Carolina the original facility overlooks the picturesque mountains of western North Carolina. Over the years Henredon has grown and added three more North Carolina facilities that manufacture high quality wood and upholstery items. While new manufacturing techniques are used you will still find that there is a considerable amount of hand and detail work performed on each piece. In these days of mass production a Henredon item will truly be unique. Henredon has always taken a leadership role in designing and manufacturing some of the finest furnishings available. Our success is based on the talent and effort of the individuals that work for Henredon.

Hickory Chair Furniture
Beneath the beautiful fabric of each Hickory Chair Sofa, Loveseat, Chair, and Ottoman is a frame constructed of kiln-dried wood that has been carved and shaped to form elegant furniture designs. The frame also features triple doweling and corner blocks that enforce the structural integrity of the shape. This shape is then lightly padded before fabric is applied. The finished upholstered look of the arms and wings of our furniture comes from the shaped wooden frame and not from foam or cotton, which with use packs, flattens, and loses shape. Foam and cotton are for comfort - wood is for shape. On lounge chairs, note the height of the back rail of the frame is approximately the same height as the back cushion it supports; this design element assures that your head, neck, and shoulders will be properly and comfortably supported. Many of Hickory Chair's fine hardwood frames are based on classic designs like that of the frame above, which dates to 1764.
